Make an origami corgi

Creating an origami corgi is a delightful project! Here’s a step-by-step guide to folding an origami corgi:

### Materials Needed:
- Square sheet of origami paper or any square paper (preferably dual-colored for better effect)
- Scissors (optional, for shaping ears if desired)

### Instructions:

1. **Start with the Paper:**
   - Begin with your square sheet of origami paper. If one side is colored and the other is white, start with the colored side facing down.

2. **Fold Diagonally:**
   - Fold the paper in half diagonally to form a triangle. Crease well and unfold.

3. **Fold to the Center:**
   - Fold the right corner of the triangle to the center point. Crease well and unfold.

4. **Fold the Left Corner:**
   - Repeat the previous step with the left corner, folding it to the center point. Crease well and unfold.

5. **Fold the Top Corner:**
   - Fold the top corner of the triangle down to the bottom edge. This will create a smaller triangle at the top. Crease well and unfold.

6. **Inside Reverse Fold:**
   - Open up the top layer of the paper slightly and use the existing creases to reverse fold the top section down. This will form the head of the corgi. Flatten carefully.

7. **Fold Down the Ears:**
   - Fold the top corners of the head (the triangles you folded to the center in steps 3 and 4) down to form the ears of the corgi. Adjust the folds to your liking to shape the ears.

8. **Shape the Tail:**
   - On the opposite end of the corgi (the pointy end), fold a small portion up to form the tail. This adds a cute detail to your origami corgi.

9. **Final Adjustments:**
   - Adjust any folds and creases to shape the body, legs, and tail of the corgi. You can also use scissors to shape the ears further if desired.

10. **Finish:**
    - Your origami corgi is complete! Stand it upright and admire your creation.

### Tips:
- Take your time with each fold to ensure crisp creases and a neat final result.
- Experiment with different sizes of paper to create corgis of various sizes.
- If you’re new to origami, practice on scrap paper first to get comfortable with the folds.

Enjoy folding your origami corgi! It's a fun and rewarding project that makes for a cute decoration or a thoughtful gift for dog lovers.

Ha, so cute! Steven Casey shows the steps to fold this origami corgi in his Flickr photostream (his photos, above). Not sure if we can see enough detail in the photos to follow along, but it will be fun to try. Start here with step one, then click the left arrow to navigate through. And don't even think about making your pup a different color. He needs to be orange for sure.
