Sure, here are some inspiring furniture makeovers from the internet that have garnered attention for their creativity and transformation:

1. **Painted Dresser with Geometric Design**:
   - A plain dresser was transformed by painting geometric shapes in bold colors on each drawer front. This makeover added a modern and artistic touch to an otherwise ordinary piece of furniture.

2. **Upcycled Wooden Pallet Coffee Table**:
   - A simple wooden pallet was repurposed into a rustic coffee table. The pallet was sanded down, painted or stained, and had wheels added to make it movable. This makeover demonstrated how everyday items can be transformed into functional furniture pieces with a bit of creativity.

3. **Vintage Cabinet with Wallpaper Backing**:
   - An old cabinet was given new life by removing the doors, painting the exterior, and adding colorful wallpaper to the back panel. This makeover not only refreshed the cabinet but also added a pop of pattern and color to the room.

4. **Upholstered Chair with New Fabric**:
   - An outdated chair was updated by reupholstering the seat and back with a vibrant and modern fabric. This simple yet effective makeover completely changed the look and feel of the chair, making it a focal point in the room.

5. **Chalk Painted Dining Table and Chairs**:
   - A traditional wooden dining table and chairs were given a farmhouse-style makeover using chalk paint. The set was painted in a soft white color and distressed to achieve a shabby chic look, transforming it into a cozy and inviting dining area.

6. **Industrial Style Bookshelf from Pipes and Wood**:
   - A bookshelf was created using industrial pipes for the frame and reclaimed wood for the shelves. This DIY project combined raw materials with a minimalist design aesthetic, resulting in a stylish and functional piece of furniture.

7. **Mid-Century Modern Sideboard Makeover**:
   - An old mid-century modern sideboard was restored by refinishing the wood, replacing hardware with sleek, modern handles, and adding tapered legs. This makeover preserved the original design while giving it a fresh and updated appearance.

8. **Decoupage Cabinet**:
   - A plain cabinet was transformed by decoupaging vintage book pages onto the drawer fronts and cabinet doors. This unique makeover added texture and interest to the piece, creating a conversation starter in any room.

These furniture makeovers showcase the versatility of DIY projects and the ability to transform old or outdated furniture into stylish and personalized pieces that fit your home decor. Each makeover demonstrates the power of creativity, paint, fabric, and other materials to breathe new life into furniture items.

I've got decorating on the brain these days. Here's my routine lately. By day, I work on client graphic design projects until 7 or 8. Sometimes when I walk to the kitchen to get a drink of water, I get stalled staring at blank walls for five minutes, trying to figure out what to do to them. I force myself to snap out of it and get back to work. At night, I eat supper, put on a fun TV show in the background, and surf the internet for furniture, art, and decorating ideas. I should be heading out to meet new people, I know it. But work is really busy at the moment and by the time I wrap things up for the day, it's later than I'd like and I'm tired.

Want to see some fun tutorials I've found during late night browsing? Maybe you've come across them already, but they were new to me.

Shown above: how to spray paint vinyl chairs at Little Green Notebook. Jenny transformed a nasty thrift store chair into this black and white beauty. I love it! Find tons of interesting DIY projects on her blog.

Mari of crab + fish emailed me about one of her DIY projects, and while poking around her site I found her gold nightstand. At first I thought it was spray painted, but no. That's gold leaf! Learn how to transform your own table right here.
